A review and demonstration of Super Stadium Baseball Game by International Playthings (Game Zone). Our son wanted to learn about baseball, so we searched and found various baseball games on Ebay and Amazon. We ended up settling on the Super Stadium Baseball Game by International Playthings and paid $39.95 on Amazon. Virtually no assembly is required. All you have to do is to place the stickers (single, double, triple, and out and for the scoreboard) and you are ready to play. The pieces that come with the game are very small. We’ve already lost one of the baseballs and one of the pitch/out counter pegs. Fortunately, we have not lost any of the players or the game would really not be enjoyable.

The first thing that we noticed is that the “bat” tends to get stuck A LOT. Obviously, this frustrates our son to no end and we are constantly reminding him that if he is not having any fun, that we should stop playing. The second thing that we noticed is that the pitching levers work remarkably well. Our son already knows how to use the levers to adjust his pitches. He loves opening the “trap door” so that his younger brother can’t hit the ball. These features would be a lot better for older children. Third, there is no automatic scoring mechanism. You have to use the counter pegs to track pitches, outs, and the score.

Overall, we would rate Super Stadium “good bye”.
