We jumped at the opportunity to preview and review the activity sheets for the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program’s upcoming coloring activity journal. The first sheet that we had the chance to review was “Learn Your Colors”. This sheet is very simple and well thought out. Basically, it is a coloring sheet with balloons that has the colors written underneath them. If your child loves coloring, he/she can identify the color underneath the balloon and then color it. As your child is identifying the colors, you can have him/her spell out each color. I found it simply amazing that our 4 1/2 year old could quickly locate the correct color marker and would begin to color in the balloons. The usefulness of this activity sheet is really only limited by your imagine. Best of all, the sheet is FREE.
